On Chrome, the Downloads page is under the Window drop-down menu on your browser. On Firefox, the Downloads page is a separate window in the Dock. On Safari, the Downloads page is in the upper right corner of the browser. Open the Downloads page and double-click on Silverlight.dmg. The final version was released on Ap(along with Silverlight 4 tools for developers). When a Silverlight box opens, select Install Now.
Version 2 only works with Intel Macs and does work with Safari 4/5. Silverlight 4 - On November 18, 2009, at the Professional Developers Conference in Los Angeles, Microsoft Corporation unveiled a Beta version of Silverlight 4. So, if you go to any sites that have been designed for this new Silverlight stuff, you can download the plug-in from here (but make certain that you are downloading SilverLight v.1.0 for OS X (10.4.8 upwards) if you are using a PPC Mac, but even this will not work with Safari 4. With SilverLight, Microsoft attempted to create their own version of what a replacement for Flash could be - but not to universal acclaim.
